Induction Program: 11th–22nd August 2025

Day 1 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 11th August 2025, Monday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 506, PIET

The inaugural day of Anusthapan 2025 began with great enthusiasm and active participation from the newly admitted MBA students. The day was structured to introduce the students to the culture of the Department of Management Studies (DMS) at PIET and to help them transition smoothly into their postgraduate journey.

The proceedings commenced with Student Registration and Kit Distribution at Room No. 501 under the guidance of Mr. Ravi Koul, Assistant Professor, DMS. This session ensured a smooth onboarding process for all the participants.

Following the registration, an Influencer Session by Ms. Tejaswee Tripathy engaged the students with motivational insights and encouraged them to embrace this new phase of life with confidence and positivity.

At 10:45 am, the students gathered in Room 506 where Prof. Akhilesh Mishra, Head, DMS, PIET, conducted a comprehensive session on “Introduction to Pedagogy of DMS” and “Graduate Dreams to Postgraduate Realities: Bridging the Gap.” This session emphasized the difference between undergraduate and postgraduate learning approaches, preparing students for the academic rigor ahead.
The next segment was the Introduction to Clubs and Domains, coordinated by the faculty members of respective domains:

  • Finance Club – Mr. Mohan
  • Marketing Club – Dr. Ankur
  • HR Club – Dr. Navita
  • Business Analytics – Dr. Sandeep

This interactive session gave students a glimpse of the co-curricular opportunities that enhance management education beyond classrooms.

After the lunch break (1:10 pm to 2:00 pm), the students attended an Anti-Ragging Awareness Session by Dr. Sunil Dull, where they were sensitized about the institute’s strict anti-ragging policies and the importance of maintaining a safe and inclusive campus environment.

Post this, a lively Senior-Junior Interaction session was conducted by MBA 2nd-year students Chirag, Shreya, and Mayank, which helped break the ice and foster a sense of belonging among the newcomers.

The day concluded with a Campus Visit, guided by the senior MBA students, covering the Central Library, Academic Block, Accounts/Fee-related Department, Sports Ground, Mess, Hostel, Pharmacy Department, and Badminton Court (C-Block). This tour familiarized the freshers with the facilities and resources available on campus.

Day 2 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 12th August 2025, Tuesday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 506, PIET

The second day of Anusthapan 2025 began with an enlightening session on “An Initiative of Mindful Development” by Mr. Daman Ahuja (Expert Talk) from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. He emphasized the importance of mindfulness, self-awareness, and emotional balance in management education and professional life. Students actively participated and appreciated the practical exercises shared during the session.

Following this, a highly interactive Business Simulation session was conducted by Prof. Himanshu Jain, DMS from 11:15 am to 1:15 pm. Through engaging activities and real-time decision-making scenarios, students were introduced to the dynamics of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning in business contexts.

After the lunch break (1:15 pm to 2:00 pm), the day continued with a session titled “Active Mind, Practical Insights” by Mr. Ravi Koul, Assistant Professor, DMS, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The session focused on encouraging students to apply critical thinking and innovative approaches in day-to-day managerial situations. The use of case examples and practical insights made the session both engaging and impactful.

Day 3 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 13th August 2025, Wednesday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 506, PIET

The third day of Anusthapan 2025 started with an empowering session on “Building Resilience and Time Management” by Dr. Preeti, Assistant Professor, DMS, from 9:10 am to 11:00 am. The session highlighted the significance of self-management, resilience, and effective time utilization for MBA students to excel in academics and career pursuits.

From 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, the students attended the DGFT Export Awareness Programme, delivered under the Niryat Bandhu Scheme of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. The session familiarized students with export procedures, policies, and opportunities in global trade. The government officials highlighted career prospects in international business and trade facilitation, making it an informative and career-oriented session.

Post lunch (1:30 pm to 2:30 pm), the concluding session of the day was conducted by Dr. Shashi Bala, Associate Professor, DMS, on “From Concepts to Corporate Success” from 2:30 pm to 4:15 pm. The session bridged the gap between academic concepts and real-world corporate practices, motivating students to align their learning with practical applications in the business environment.

Day 4 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 14th August 2025, Wednesday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 506, PIET

The fourth day of Anusthapan 2025 was filled with motivation, celebration, and self-discovery, providing the students with a well-rounded experience.

The day began with a powerful session on “Power of Habits” conducted by Mr. Utkarsh from ISKON Temple between 9:30 am to 10:00 am. He emphasized the importance of cultivating positive habits that shape discipline, resilience, and long-term success. Students gained valuable lessons on integrating value-based habits into their academic and professional lives.

From 10:00 am to 11:00 am, the students joyfully participated in the Janmashtami Celebration. The event created a festive atmosphere filled with devotion, cultural activities, and enthusiasm. Students celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna with energy and positivity, reflecting the blend of tradition and modern academic life.

The next session on “Communication Competence: Your Gateway to Grow” was led by Ms. Manju, Assistant Professor, DMS, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. It highlighted the critical role of communication skills in professional development, where interactive exercises encouraged active participation and skill-building.

At 12:30 pm, the students had a brief yet inspiring Alumni Interaction with Ms. Karuna, who shared her career journey and motivated the students to focus on long-term goals and make the best use of opportunities during the MBA program.

Following the lunch break (12:45 pm to 2:00 pm), the concluding session of the day titled “Find Your Fit: Self-Discovery and Career Selection with MBTI” was conducted by Dr. Navita, Assistant Professor, DMS, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The MBTI-based self-assessment helped students understand their personality types, identify strengths, and align them with potential career paths. The activity-driven session made self-discovery insightful and engaging.

Day 5 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 18th August 2025, Monday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 507, PIET

Day 5 of Anusthapan 2025 focused on developing digital, analytical, and personal resilience skills among the MBA students.

The day started with an engaging session on “Transform Management with Data-Power” by Dr. Sandeep, Assistant Professor, DMS from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The session emphasized the importance of data analytics in decision-making, strategy building, and transforming business practices in the digital age. Students learned how data-driven insights can redefine managerial roles and enhance competitiveness.

Following this, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Mr. Vikas Nain, Assistant Professor, DMS, delivered a session on “Balancing Bytes and Biceps: A Wellness Strategy for Digital Leaders.” He discussed the importance of balancing digital workloads with personal wellness, highlighting physical fitness, mindfulness, and work-life balance as vital traits for effective leadership in today’s technology-driven world.

After the lunch break (12:45 pm to 2:00 pm), the day concluded with an impactful session titled “From Flop to Fly: Mastering the Art of Bouncing Back” by Dr. Meenakshi, Assistant Professor, DMS, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. She encouraged students to develop resilience, learn from failures, and use setbacks as stepping stones toward success. Inspiring stories and real-life examples made the session highly motivational.

Day 6 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 19th August 2025, Tuesday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 507, PIET

The sixth day of Anusthapan 2025 was a blend of evaluation, preparation, and industry insights designed to groom the MBA students for academic and professional challenges ahead.
The day began with “Aankalan for Students” from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, coordinated by Ms. Manju and Dr. Preeti, Assistant Professors, DMS. This evaluation process was conducted in two rounds – Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The activity was judged by Ms. Suman Pawar and Ms. Prarthana Pandey, both from the Department of Applied Sciences, PIET. The Aankalan exercise provided students with a real-time experience of competitive assessment while offering valuable feedback on communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills.

After the lunch break (12:45 pm to 2:00 pm), the session resumed with “MBA Survival Kit” by Mr. Manish, Assistant Professor, DMS, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The session introduced students to the essential tools, strategies, and mindsets required to navigate the MBA journey successfully. Tips on managing workload, balancing academics with extracurriculars, and staying motivated were shared, which the students found highly practical.

The day concluded with an Industrial Expert Talk by Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Nagia from 3:00 pm to 4:20 pm. He shared industry-oriented perspectives, highlighted current business trends, and guided students on bridging the gap between academic learning and corporate expectations. His insights into managerial practices enriched the students’ understanding of real-world applications of management theories.

Day 7 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 20th August 2025, Wednesday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 507, PIET

The seventh day of Anusthapan 2025 offered students exposure to technological advancements, motivational learning, and psychological awareness.
The day began with a session on “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Management” from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, conducted by Ms. Suman Kumari, Assistant Professor, IT, PIET. The session highlighted how AI is transforming managerial practices such as decision-making, operations, HR, and customer engagement. Real-life applications and examples made the topic engaging and futuristic.

From 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, an Influencer Session was organized at the APJ venue. This session provided students with motivating insights on personal development, leadership, and the importance of innovative thinking in their MBA journey. The interactive format encouraged active participation and left a lasting impression on the audience.

Following the lunch break (1:30 pm to 2:30 pm), the last session of the day was on “Bystander Effect in College Settings” by Ms. Mansi, Counsellor, PIET, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. The session sensitized students to the psychological tendency of the bystander effect, where individuals remain passive during critical incidents. Students were encouraged to adopt proactive and responsible behavior to build a supportive and empathetic campus culture.

Day 8 of Anusthapan 2025

Date: 21st August 2025, Thursday

Venue: G Block, Room No. 507, PIET

Day 8 of Anusthapan 2025 emphasized wellness, values, and ethics, helping students connect physical, emotional, and moral dimensions of management education.

The day commenced with a Yoga Session from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, led by Dr. Preeti, Chairperson, Wellbeing Cell, PIET. The session introduced students to the importance of yoga in maintaining balance, focus, and overall wellness. Breathing exercises, meditation techniques, and simple asanas were practiced, leaving the students refreshed and energized for the day ahead.

After the lunch break (12:00 pm to 1:00 pm), the afternoon was dedicated to the Ethics Day Celebration, organized from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm under the guidance of Dr. Preeti, Assistant Professor, DMS, PIET. The celebration focused on instilling ethical values, professional integrity, and social responsibility among management students. Activities and discussions highlighted real-life ethical dilemmas, case studies, and the role of ethics in decision-making. Students actively participated, making the session both engaging and thought-provoking.

Venue: Seminar Hall, D-Block (Ground Floor), PIET

Introduction

The Department of Management Studies (DMS), Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), successfully conducted the final day of the Induction Program – Anusthapan 2025 on 22nd August 2025. The day was designed to provide valuable exposure to the new students through departmental insights, expert panel discussions, motivational sessions, and interaction with distinguished guests from industry and academia.

Highlights of the Day

  • The Library Induction familiarized students with academic resources and digital learning platforms available at PIET.
  • Prof. Akhilesh Mishra introduced the Department of Management Studies, its vision, mission, achievements, and future opportunities.
  • A highly insightful Panel Discussion was conducted with eminent speakers from the corporate sector and academia, who discussed emerging business challenges, technological disruptions, and career opportunities for management professionals.
  • The presence of PIET leadership, including the Director, Dean, DSW, and Management members, motivated students with their encouraging words.
  • Senior students shared their learning experiences and success stories, inspiring the new batch.
  • The day concluded with the felicitation of distinguished guests and meritorious students, followed by lunch and a formal departure.

Conclusion

The final day of Anusthapan 2025 was a blend of academic orientation, corporate insights, and motivational interactions. The program successfully fulfilled its objective of acclimatizing students to the institutional culture, exposing them to future business challenges, and preparing them for their professional journey ahead.
