The following departments of PIET, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, and Master of Business Administration, are Haryana’s sole NBA accredited departments (2023). The NBA (National Board of Accreditation) is one of the two major bodies responsible for accreditation of higher education institutions in India.

PIET was awarded as the Best Engineering College in Haryana, and enlisted amongst the Top 20 Engineering College in North India (2018) by the Hon’ble Union Minister of State Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Smt. Krishna Raj, and Lieutenant General, Sh. G.D Bakshi, in the Academia Conclave and Award Function of the Dialogue India at IIT Delhi. (19th May, 2018)
PIET campus was adjudged and bestowed by the CLEAN CAMPUS AWARD-2017 by AICTE on 2nd October, 2017.
PIET was accorded with an award of Best Institute for Academic Excellence & Placement in Delhi-NCR (2017) by The Dialogue India in collaboration with “Amar Ujala,” in its (5th India Academia Award 2017) ceremony, at Chandigarh on 3rd June 2017. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Minister of State (Haryana), Sh. Manish Kumar Grover, and Sh. Anuj Agarwal, Editor in Chief of The Dialogue India.
The institute was also awarded as Best Engineering & Management College in Haryana (2016) by The Dialogue India in its 4th India Academia Awards-2016 Ceremony at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi (28thMay, 2016). The award was presented by the Hon’ble Minister, Sh. Madan Chouhan (UP), Sh. Anuj Agarwal, Editor-in-Chief, Dialogue India, Sh. J. S. Rajput, NCRT Director, and Mrs. Santosh Yadav (first women Mount Everest climber).
The institute has also been awarded with Best Institute for Excellent Placement in Delhi-NCR Award (2016) by Hon’ble Sh. Upendra Kushwaha, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Government of India, and Hon’ble Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament.
Moreover, PIET is bestowed with the award of Best Engineering College in Haryana, by The Dialogue India in its 3rd India Academia Awards-2015 Ceremony at NDMC Convention center, New Delhi (20thJune, 2015). The award was presented by the Chief Guest, Mr. Lalit Gattani, CEO, and Mr. Anuj Agarwal, Editor in Chief, The Dialogue India.
The star rating of the institute was marked as 4.5 by “Career Connect Magazine,” in Volume-3, issue 8 (April 2015), and ranked as First for being the best Self-Financed Institute in Haryana.
