On February 8th, 2025, a Limited Overs Cricket Match was organized at the PIET Sports Ground, bringing together MBA 1st and 2nd-year students for an exciting experience that combined sports with management learning. This event was not just about cricket; it was designed to instill essential managerial qualities such as teamwork, leadership, strategic decision-making, and adaptability—skills that are as critical in business as they are on the field.
The match served as a real-time learning experience, demonstrating how collaboration, planning, and quick thinking under pressure are key to both winning a game and excelling in the corporate world. The students participated with great enthusiasm, embracing the spirit of the game while unknowingly applying management principles—from setting goals and strategizing to handling challenges and leading teams.
At the end of this high-energy contest, the MBA 2nd-year team emerged victorious, showcasing an exceptional all-round performance. Dr. Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Mishra (Head of Department) presented them with the Winning Trophy, recognizing their strategic execution and teamwork. Mr. Piyush Goyal was named Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution. The runner-up team was also appreciated for their dedication and sportsmanship, receiving certificates as a token of recognition.
