Round 1 (At College Premises)
The students in of participating colleges are exposed to a written examination held at the respective colleges only. It is an off-line test that consists of thirty or more multiple choice questions to be completed within the duration of 30 minutes as per the structure of the event. The test is based on various domains specified earlier. Different set of questions of almost equivalent complexity are taken for this round. The test is based on evaluating Aptitude, Reasoning, Numerical and Quantitative methods, English and communication, including General Knowledge of the participating students. This test is generally conducted by faculty representative from PIET along with the college level faculty our contact as per the availability of students, time and dates etc. Earlier the test was a manual test, but from this year we have shifted to the OMR sheet based evaluation that is fast and accurate in processing of results. These OMR sheets are then evaluated using the machine for error-less result compilation done with the help of PIET faculty members.
After the result analysis, the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the cut-offs that may be region-wise for the second round to be held at PIET Campus. Such students and their colleges are intimated and certificates are issued to shortlisted candidates in their respective colleges for handing over to the candidates.
Round 2 (At PIET, Panipat)
The Round 2 consists of an online test that is conducted at PIET campus using computer devices of various labs. The information regarding the date of 2nd final round will be intimitated to the shortlisted candidates through SMS/telephonic calls and informing the parent institution/college. Bus facility for pickup and drop from designated stops will be available to PIET by the Transport Co-ordinator which may be extended on request also. The participants shall be escorted by teacher representatives of the participating colleges and faculty members of PIET. The participants and teacher representatives shall be provided proper refreshment and lunch at PIET through the coupon system.
The Online test of Round 2 will contain multiple choice questions that needs to be answered in 30 minutes. Only candidates declared as qualified will go for the final round of PIET Quest – Colleges.
Final Round (At PIET, Panipat)
Depending on the number of candidates declared qualified in the Round 2, further shortlisting, if required, through a small quiz may be done by the man QuizMaster. After final qualification, the students of round 2 will be divided into teams for taking the Final Quiz on the main stage. The quiz will be conducted in the pandal in front of the audience along with many eminent guests and personalities of the day. The winners of the quiz will be awarded prizes and Scholarships worth crores.
