Nowadays image processing is becoming an important assisting tool in many branches of science such as computer science, electrical and electronic engineering, robotics, physics, chemistry, environmental science and medicine. It is also gaining its importance in agricultural domain. Due to this importance it is good to increase participant’s knowledge in image processing so that they can develop new ideas for solving problems in agricultural field. Image processing techniques can be helpful and easy way to solve the problems faced by every farmer. This seminar will provide a good platform to know the problems and discuss on solutions for same and boost new research area amongst students. In the same context, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, PIET,Panipat is all set to organize a seminar on Impact of Image Processing for Sustainable Agricultural Development, to present the cutting edge technological developments in this field. The seminar will include the distinguished lectures from the prominent personalities in the agricultural and the related fields from India, where they will share the recent trends and applications in this field and the probable issues to be addressed in upcoming years. a. To make participants aware about need of image processing in agriculture domain. b.
