IoT TRAINER KIT

Total 10 IoT trainer kit are available in department as all-in-one prototyping platform for sensor based IoT projects. It’s packed with state of the art sensor technology and ready-to-use software applications, capable of fulfilling all your IoT application needs. It contains inbuilt all in one sensor platform to enable infinite IoT application prototype possibilities. Students will be able to – study and Install IDE of Arduino and different types of Arduino, use Arduino IDE for Blink LED , for RGB LED using Arduino, study the Temperature sensor and Write Program to  monitor temperature using Arduino, Study and implement MQTT protocol using Arduino.

Verilog  CAD Lab

Digital Design using Verilog lab facilitates VLSI design automation. With advancements in the integrated circuits technology , manual design approach becomes infeasible and hence need for computer aided design arises. Department owns 10 user license of Questa Sim Simulator by Mentor Graphics for designing and simulating Digital circuits.

To get a level of competence in digital design, students learn to design and model in the simulator from basic circuits such as Multiplexers, Demultiplexers, Counters etc. to large and complex  digital systems as ALU,  finite state machines.

BASICS OF ELECTRICAL ENGG Lab

Basic of Electrical engineering Lab is an engineering lab that deals with the study and application of electricity, and electromagnetism.  Students learn the characteristics of the most basic and common components used in Electrical Engineering (i.e. resistors, capacitors, inductors, power supplies, voltmeters and ammeters) and can verify Theorems on DC Circuit Analysis  like Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law and Kirchhoff’s Current Law, Thevenin’s Theorem, Norton’s Theorem, Maximum power transfer Theorem. .

Student Can Also Verify The Phenomenon Of Resonance  Phenomenon In Both  Series And Parallel Circuits And Students Can Also  Practically Learn Measurement Of Power  In 3 – Phase Load  By Two Wattmeter Method.  The Students Can Conduct The Direct Load Test, Open Circuit Test And Short Circuit Test On Transformers. Students Can Also Check Speed Control Of DC Motor By Various Methods. Basic Knowledge Of Various Types Of  Electrical Fuses, MCB And MCCB And types of wires.

Digital Electronics lab

The purpose of the experiments conducted in this lab is to acquaint the student with Digital devices, Design of circuits,Instruments & procedures for electronic test & measurement and  teaching  practical skills that the student can use in the course of his or her own experimental research projects in digital electronics.

The lab is well equipped with digital lab trainer kits for Basic logic gates IC’s , multiplexer and demultiplexer IC’s, Scientech Flip flop and shift register digital kits, Function Generators and CRO’S. Students learn to design and build simple circuits of his or her own design, use electronic test & measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, timers, function generators, etc. in experimental research and  to differentiate between combinational and sequential logic circuits.

Microwave Engineering Lab

Microwave Engineering Laboratory curriculum have been designed to impart the practical concept of Microwave lab using various bench setup. The lab is well equipped with 7 benches of microwave lab setup. It includes the study of klystron, electron gun, study of Isolator, Attenuator, Magic Tee, study of directivity and coupling factor of Directional coupler etc.

Analog Electronics Lab

The area of analog electronics circuit design is one of the vast and complex areas in VLSI circuit designing. Analog Electronics Lab is well equipped with Digital Signal Oscilloscopes (DSO’s), Multimeters, Analog Trainer kits and discrete components (active & passive). Students learn to design and implement the analog electronics circuit for given specifications.

MC & ESD Lab

Microcontroller and Embedded System Design Lab deals to develop dedicated systems based on both hardware and software.MC & ESD Lab is equipped with Keil µ vision (Free Version), Flash Magic, 8051 Application Boards, Stepper and DC motors and computer systems. Students learn to program the microcontrollers and interface various peripherals with microcontrollers.

Antenna Lab

The aim of this laboratory is to introduce students with  different types of antennas, effect of physical and geometrical characteristics on critical parameters, such as bandwidth, reflection coefficient, SWR, etc. With the help of this lab, Students have the opportunity to study these effects with Electromagnetic simulation software.

Digital  Image Processing Lab

Digital image processing laboratory deals with the basics of image processing and processing of digital images. Processing includes image enhancement in spatial and frequency domain, filtering, image restoration, compression, segmentation and edge detection algorithms.Students are exposed to implement these techniques.

Thorough understanding of SCI Lab and Open CV software and image processing toolbox is mandatory for proceeding with the course wear. The usefulness of this lab is due to an increase in the pictorial information available for human interpretation, and for automatic and autonomous machine control. Its applications include radiology, astronomy, meteorology, remote sensing, recognition, seismology etc.

EMI Lab

Electronics Measurements & Instruments Lab is renowned in various fields of engineering applications. This lab is well equipped with equipments to measure the unknown inductance, capacitance and unknown frequency using various ac bridges. This benefits the beginners to understand the concept of calibration of energy meter and B-H curve of different magnetic materials. Coils can be mounted on the U or E shaped iron cores to demonstrate mutual induction. The load can be connected along with it to investigate power transfer and basic transformers theory with an AC power supply. This lab also helps to understand the concept of conversion of voltmeter into ammeter using potentiometer.

MPI LAB.

The lab is well equipped with 8085  and 8086 microprocessor trainer kits along with interfacing modules to demonstrate the detailed applications of microprocessors. The purpose of this laboratory is to train the students to be familiar with the software and hardware of microprocessors so that they can gain enough experiences to meet the demand of the microprocessor era. Specifications based on 8085 is  CPU operating at 6.144 mhz. crystal with  8k bytes of EPROM loaded with powerful monitor program and  8k bytes of RAM available to the user. Total on board memory expansion up to 64k bytes using 2732/2764/27128/6264/ 62256 with 1 socket of 28 Pin. Battery backup for RAM with 3.6v rechargeable cell. Keyboard mode facility for downloading/uploading files from/to pc enclosed in an attractive abs plastic cabinet with cover in-built power supply user’s manual.

WMC Lab

Wireless and Mobile Communication lab is one of the advance labs for students to understand diverse approach for executing a particular task. With the help of SCI lab software, students can understand how to design various analog and digital techniques . SCI lab enhances the programming capability of students. This lab provides the practical knowledge of different aspects of signal and system subject. They can visualize the graphical representation of different modulation schemes, BER, constellation diagram with their properties. This course provides practical hands-on exposure to mobile and wireless communication system building blocks. The objective of this lab is to teach students generation and detection of amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, ASK, FSK, PSK and QAM and many more techniques with Simulink design.
