Ever increasing pace of development in electronics, audio and video
communication systems and the automation in industry have made an electronic engineer a catalyst for
the change of the modern society. The quality of life has been tremendously improved by electronic
gadgets and communication systems of today. With ever-increasing tempo of events throughout the world,
it has become essential to have more efficient communication network with the latest electronic
devices and circuits.
Besides giving a thorough grounding in basic sciences and engineering subjects, the curriculum in Electronics & Communication
Engineering lays a greater emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental principles and state of art knowledge of electronic
networks and devices, electrical engineering fundamentals, communication and control systems, etc.
The Department today caters for 60 UG students in Electronics & Communication Engineering and is likely to increase the
intake to 120 UG students.
The Department has well-developed laboratories of Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Devices & Circuits, Electronics
Instruments & Measurements, Analog Communication, Electrical engineering and Electromechanical Energy Conversion.
